Clickhouse Initial Security Configuration (such as setting user permissions)
1. Set Super Administrator
In ClickHouse, the super administrator is the most powerful user. This user can execute all commands and modify any settings.
- Create a super administrator:
CREATE USER 'admin'@'localhost';
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON *.* TO 'admin'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
2. Set User Permissions
ClickHouse uses MySQL's user system, which allows setting different permissions for users as needed.
- Create a new user:
* Set user permissions: `GRANT SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE ON *.* TO 'user'@'localhost'; FLUSH PRIVILEGES;`
### 3. Configure Key File
ClickHouse uses OpenSSL to encrypt data. If you need to store data locally, configure the key file accordingly.
* Add the following content to your ClickHouse configuration file:
key_file='~/.clickhouse/key'
key_password='your_password'
### 4. Security Settings
ClickHouse provides various security settings options such as firewalls, access control, and encryption.
* Restrict Access: You can use MySQL's access control commands to limit a user's permissions, for example
- Use Firewall: You can configure ClickHouse's firewall using Firewalld or Iptables.
